Start with Ona standalone and one working model backend (cloud API, Ollama, or OpenAI-compatible local endpoint). For family or company use, add always-on hosting, backups, role policies, and monitoring. Scale to Sphere when shared governance, multi-user controls, and audit trails are required.

Ona supports web, mobile, desktop, terminal, API endpoints, and channel integrations including Telegram, WhatsApp, Signal, and Discord.

Ona uses structured memory and retrieval context for continuity. Sensitive operations can require explicit approvals, and secret handling stays controlled by policy.

Ona supports cloud APIs (Anthropic, OpenAI, Groq, Gemini, OpenRouter), local inference via Ollama, Docker-hosted model services, and OpenAI-compatible local servers such as llama.cpp, LM Studio, and vLLM.

You can run cloud-only, self-hosted-only, or hybrid. Hybrid is common: keep private day-to-day workflows local and escalate selected heavy tasks to cloud models.

Routing is layered: role-specific override, task-size routing, default model, then provider fallback. This allows quality and cost tuning per mission type.

Yes. A Raspberry Pi, NAS, or old gaming PC can run always-on household workflows. Use backups, health checks, and role scopes for adults, guests, and child-safe access.

In dual-bot setups, keep Solin (main assistant) and Customer Service on different model services or endpoints for operational isolation, reliability, and clearer governance.
